Lace leaf with extra laciness. The new growth is pink-bronze. As the summer continues it will turn chartreuse green with the new growth showing the pink
The delicate texture of this laceleaf maple is accented in spring by its bright orange-red growth, and later in fall by its fiery orange autumn color. A beautiful combination of attributes.
Chantilly Lace is a rare variegated laceleaf weeping maple with very fine leaves. Spring growth is a variegated green with pink and red tints. In the summer the color of this maple can vary from pink-red to yellow-green and lastly a crimson red finish in the fall. The fine delicate dissected leaves are similar to Acer palmatum dissectum Baldsmith. Soft and lacy looking for 6 months a year in ever changing colors. Chantilly Lace is the lovely maple for a waterfall or pond setting in addition to any garden. This maple prefers mostly sun, but may need some protection from the hot afternoon sun. This often hard to find lace leaf maple may reach 4′ in 10 years. It is a moderate grower and needs some pruning to enhance its overall structure. Once established Chantilly Lace is hardy to USDA zone 6.

This lace-leaf Japanese Maple has leaves that emerge orange-red in spring changing to green for summer with new summer leaves contrasting in red. The fall color is quite unique. It is sort of a coral yellow color. This is one of my favorite lace leaf varieties!
