Rubus idaeus 'Tulameen' is a very popular summer-bearing raspberry known for its big, sweet berries and high yield. White blooms in the spring are followed by bright red berries for a long fruiting season starting in midsummer. Canes may reach 4-5 feet tall with few spines. Bred in BC, Tulameen' is a cross between 'Nootka' and 'Glen Prosen'. Remove fruited canes after fruiting to encourage new canes. Enjoy fresh, frozen, canned, and baked. Attracts bees and wildlife.
Outstanding fruit quality (large, yummy flavor and great keeping) combined with excellent yield and good hardiness (emerges late spring) have made this 4-6' selection a favorite in home garden and supermarket; fruits on 2nd year. S/M
