Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The first variegated Phygelius! 'Lemon Spritzer' has lively, lemon yellow leaves dotted and splashed with bits of lime and pine green. Sometimes they are accented with a dollop of cream. This plant is so pretty, it doesn’t need to flower, but when it does, it really all comes together! Coral pink trumpets call out to hummingbirds. The excellent vigour of this plant will make it a super container, garden and border plant. Avoid hot afternoon sun.
Lemon-yellow leaves splashed with lime, pine green and cream make this 3' beauty (the first variegated cape fuchsia!) a winner even before its late summer coral-orange trumpets call out the hummingbirds. PSh/M PPAF
Phygelius x rectus ‘Lemon Spritzer’ is a beautifully variegated, upright shrubby perennial. Displays showy yellow leaves splashed with dots of green, and topped with long terminal spikes of coral-orange trumpet flowers. Plant in moist, moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Once established, water deeply but infrequently. Makes a great addition to mixed borders, containers, or foundation plantings.
