A lovely way to fill out the Geranium line-up and the summer border is this late Re-bloomer which produces its blue flowers on 18-20" stems. S-PSh
Geranium 'Rozanne' just got unseated from her throne as queen of the perennial border. Newly crowned 'Orion' has masses of inky blue flowers, larger and more numerous, plus foliage that turns a luminous red in celebration of fall. Beautiful in combination with upright Salvia 'Caradonna' and yellow foxgloves, it is easy to grow and blooms all summer to fall."
Named after one of the brightest constellations in Europe’s night sky, this possible ‘Brookside’ seedling extends a shining floral display. Large, saucer-shaped and brilliantly blue flowers enhanced by violet-red veins and luminous whitened centers levitate above a mass of ample, finely dissected greenery. Courtesy of Dutch nurseryman Brian Kabbes, long blooming ‘Orion’ can be partnered with Helianthemum ‘Wisley Pink’ for sparkling color.
Omygosh! We're so impressed with this phenomenal new introduction to the realm of hardy Geraniums! With upright growth, a multitude of bloom over a long season--late spring to late August--and vibrant blue-purple, two inch, (larger than usual) flowers, it upped the dazzle in our already colorful garden. To an extra showy, thirty inch tall and at least three feet across, with alluring foliage that turns fiery in fall, you just can't go wrong with this tough and easy winner. Place center stage and provide rich soil. Dead head to extend bloom or cut back to two inch tall to refresh. Heat tolerant and sterile so no self-sown seedlings.

Take note, black flower lovers! This rarely found perennial species allied to G. phaeum is from China and bears umbels of small blackish-maroon inverted flowers with reflexed petals and crimson beaks in late summer and fall. The foliage is dark green and decoratively marbled. Sun or shade in any good soil but not too wet in winter.
