Beni translates to deeply red in Japanese. This is one of my absolute favorite of the serrata family (don't tell the others). Red! Blooms begin white but quickly change to blue/pink starting on the tips and moving toward the center of the petal. Then it's RED! Blends of burgundy, crimson, blood red. Did I mention red?
