spreading perennial herb with pink flowers for 3-4 months in summer. only growing to 1 inch tall. tight creeping ground cover with tiny leaves.
Our slowest, but longest lived thyme, with the smallest leaves and dense habit, it almost resembles moss! Great for in betweeen stepping stones or in trough gardens.
Ground-hugging variety to 1 inch tall and up to 18 inches across bearing diminutive rich green leaves and white to pink flowers in summer. Similar to 'Elfin' thyme but not as gray or fuzzy looking. Excellent choice for rock gardens.
Teensie-tiny miniature leaves comprise a snug carpet-like hummock that's small in size, but big on charm. Remarkably rugged, the fuzzy, gray-green overlapping foliage belies its diminutive appearance, enduring some foot traffic and hot dry conditions. Pretty lavender-pink elfin flowers peek out from the fine textured soft-looking clump as it slowly mantles a staircase, the rockery or a Tom Thumb-like container planting.
The plant often passed off as Elfin in the trade, flat mats only 1/4 inch high of tiny leaves, it hugs the contours of the ground, beautiful between paving stones it doesn't dome up like Elfin, and is much faster growing and one of the best.
