Mr. Impatiens (Derek Pitman) brings us another new variety of this hardy Impatiens! 6” tall stems dressed in lovely bronzey green foliage overlaid with shimmering silver is netted with pink veining – the overall effect is of a sparkling brocade! Yellow apricot flowers late summer till frost. Shade, moist soil. USDA Z7
This small, cascading hosta is perfect for edging or groundcover! 12" high and 18" across, the olive green leaves have narrow margins of yellow to creamy white and are satiny, veined, rippled, and lance-like. Purple striped flowers on 24" leafy scapes bloom in late summer.
This wonderful new selection of the Mt. Omei impatiens spreads slowly into a dense colony of 6" bronzy stems and gorgeous leaves in a dark bronzy green sprinkled with silver, like fairy dust, with central veins in pink that darkens and spills into the leaf. Yum. Mustard to salmon flowers make a great contrast from late summer to frost. Shade to deep shade in moist soil with, of course, summer water. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
Fantastic pink, silver, red, and green scalloped leaves accompany yellow tubular flowers in mid-summer. The flowers resemble goldfish swimming amongst the leaves. The mouth of the bloom is white with orange speckles in the throat, the tube, light yellow ending in a tight curl - a small cornucopia. Minimum temperature: 5?F
