Ruscus hypophyllum is a broadleaf evergreen perennial shrub with green foliage. In spring white flowers emerge followed by red fruit. Features glossy texture. Attracts birds. Grows well with bright shade - shade and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant, humidity tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

Leaves are sought after (and berries in season) by floral arrangers for filler; leaves can be used fresh or dried and can last for months!
