Bright gold colour is most noticeable on the newer growth with a vibrant yellow persisting on the leaf margins throughout the rest of the year. Will form a spreading, somewhat bushy form with time.
An outstanding plant, this broadly-spreading semi-dwarf mounder (to 6" per year) has BRIGHT gold needles. S-PSh/M
The Yellow English Yew is a low spreading form of Taxus baccata with bright golden foliage and variegated new growth. In milder climates the yellow color is brightest in full sun but in hot climates like at our nursery these plants prefer some afternoon shade. It is an excellent choice for small gardens where the slow growth results in low maintenance. It also makes for a good bonsai specimen.
