Disporum sessile 'Variegatum' is a slow-growing broadleaf deciduous perennial with green, variegated and white foliage. In spring cream flowers emerge. Grows well with mostly sun - shade and even moisture - regular water. Does well in acidic, average, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something humidity tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

Rhizomatous perennial, gently creeping, not as wide spreading as the green form,. Arching stems 1-2' with leaves edged and streaked with white decorated in spring with pale green and white dangling bells. Deciduous. Highlights the woodland garden in light shade, humus rich, moist soil. Seems to be deer resistant and low maintenance!

We've had this form of Fairy Bells in one of our shade gardens for some time and it has loosely formed a sizable colony. (It may in fact be a distinct cultivar whose name alludes us.) Creamy yellow streaked variegated leaves adorn 12-15" arching stems, with pendant greenish white bells in spring.
