This Orienpet lily ranks high in the North American Lily Society's Hall of Fame popularity for it's swept back form, deep crimson color and tough as nails personality. The pendulous flowers sway in the breeze, lightly fragrant and the first with this form.

A nearly indestructible lily with small, recurved, deep red flowers with white edges. It has the look of a species-type lily but with the fragrance and bloom time of an oriental. It was reportedly bred from Lilium speciosum and mixed Oriental and Trumpet pollen, with the possible inclusion of L. henryi. This lily ranks high in the North American Lily Society's "Hall of Fame" for long-lived dependability in all areas. Oriental lilies bloom in August with bold colours and a sweet and spicy intoxicating fragrance.
Though absolutely gorgeous _ with 15-40 turk's-cap flowers of dark raspberry narrowly edged in silver _ 'Black Beauty' is even more prized for its wonderful vigor and long life in all sorts of gardens. In fact, you'll often hear it called "indestructible." (It's even lily-beetle resistant, researchers say.) The first NALS Hall of Fame lily, it's one of the 20th century's very best. Sturdy 5-7 foot stems, mid-summer, zones 5-7S(10WC)
