Anemone blanda 'White Splendour' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial bulb / corm / tuber with green foliage. In spring white flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Does well in average, gritty, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.

Anemone blanda, the Grecian windflower or Balkan anemone, is a charming woodland ground cover that produces cute little 2+ inch wide flowers in early spring above nicely dissected foliage. It is similar to A. nemorosa but the leaves are thicker and darker green, the flowers are larger and have more petals, and it can be grown in full sun if the soil has good moisture. 'White Splendour' has pure white flowers around yellow centres. Plant them around dark flowered hellebores or other bulbs to help show them off against the dark soil or as an ephemeral ground cover beneath deciduous trees and shrubs. They will go dormant in summer.
