Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Blue-green foliage similar to J. c. 'Compressa', though its form is more "plump". Field reports indicate it has better tolerance to wind, cold, and reflected sun.
A perfect anchor point for the miniature garden. More durable, adaptable and dense than the popular 'Compressa', this improved selection sports the same compact, blue-green foliage and upright habit. It differs, though, in its broader pyramidal shape and its better tolerance to wind, cold and reflected sun. Vertical accent that is well suited for containers. Great color! Upright cone shape. Growth rate is 2" to 4" per year. Cold hardy zones 2 - 6, or hardy to -40 °F. Heat hardy zones 6 - 1. Full sun. Prefers well-drained soil. Great in pots or in ground. Comes in a 4” pot. An outdoor plant.
An improvement over the standby form 'Compressa', this is slightly broader but is still a slow growing vertical spire which might reach 3' in 20 years. It has a better blue green foliage and better tolerance to wind and full sun than that old 'Compressa'. Hard to find a small scale vertical accent but here it is.
