Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Golden Sprite' - A miniature round bun form of Japanese Hinoki Cypress. Leaves are green on tips with bright yellow inside to stem. Plant gem shaped, hence the name with the golden color inside. Grows about an inch a year. Best for containers, troughs, and small gardens.
Foliage is gold on the inside leading up to a green tip, reverse of what is found on many other selections. With its slow rate of growth a good choice for "postage stamp" gardens.
