Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Introduced by Olav Kalleberg, Sweden, this sumptuous cross is one of our newest favorites. Glistening white goblet shaped flowers, 8 in. across are punctuated with deep red stamens and strong, heady fragrance. Perhaps the most fragrant Magnolia. Blossoming in June and July and again in late summer it also forms a well formed tree. Very large leaves are a clear call back to obovata while its hardiness to sieboldii.
