Stephen Foltz found the original 60 year old, gracefully weeping tree in Lakeside Park, Kentucky. The pendulous branches create a graceful aspect to this upright growing native American tree reminiscent of a weeping cherry. A female selection, it is of great benefit to wildlife as well. Penwood Weeper's foliage is large, dark green and glossy all summer and has attractive yellow and orange coloration in autumn.
