?A large shrub of first class garden merit? (Hillier), this Chinese beauty (to 12') has a profusion of fragrant, pink-flushed-yellow, Weigela-like flowers in early summer. S-PSh/M/neutral-alkaline
A large shrub with weigela looking flowers in May – June. The pink flowers cover this pretty plant. Mike Dirr says it is unknown outside arboreta. New to us so we can try this plant together.
A charming shrub with fragrant foxglove like creamy white tinged pink blooms with a yellow throat which age to white and ash-brown bark which exfoliates in long strips. While the flowers are showy, the persistent Calyces are even more so, starting pale green, going through a rosy stage and finally bronze. Prefers well-drained alkaline soil. Prune oldest stems after flowering. *While RHS says Dipelta will take part shade, based on seeing one in fairly deep shade, we feel they have far less blooms. It seemed happy so if you're desperate for it and only have shade, it will grow but may not bloom as lushly. Soil: Well-drained, alkaline

Flowers look like delicate pink Weigela blossoms borne on large, open-growing shrub to 10 or 15 ft. tall. Light brown peeling bark.
