Wisteria floribunda is a broadleaf deciduous perennial vine with green foliage. In spring lavender flowers emerge. Attracts bees and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular water. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil.

Native to Japan it can reach 20m, twining clockwise, flower racemes to 60cm and fragrant. Spectacular but nothing compared to the cultivar 'Macrobotrys', which has racemes to 150cm and can cover 1/6 acre. Be sure to build a big enough trellis.
