Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Most of what I see grown under this species name has very silver, fuzzy foliage. Our form doesn't - not sure if that is just the normal variability within the species, or if this is in fact a different species. Whatever a taxonomist might say about it, this is a lovely plant with glossy, dark green, notched, almost holly-like leaves with the usual gorgeous veronica display of abundant cheerful blue flowers on short spikes. A lower spreader, maybe 6 inches tall, perhaps twice that wide. Zone 5
