Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A wonderful biennial plant that no northern shade garden should be without. A rosette of unassuming green leaves the first year, the second it reaches a foot or more tall with masses of nodding, white, campanula-like flowers. Self-sows happily so you never have to be without it. Remarkably tolerant of dry shade and other less-than-ideal-conditions, in my old garden I had it seeding around in the unpleasant conditions under a lot of silver maples. Zone 4
