Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Mocha Rose Japanese Maple emerges in the spring with peach-pink colored leaves turning to dusky purple, the bronze-green in the summer. With its unique semi-full leaves, this maple makes a great statement piece in the landscape or patio container. Mocha Rose Japanese Maple variety grows slowly but must be transplanted into the landscape or in a larger container.
This is an "oh, wow!" type of plant! The lovely lobed leaves are a brilliant, shrimp-pink when they emerge, then the foliage of this Buchholz selection begins to mature into darker shades of rose and creamy-mocha. Beautifully spreading tree to 15-20' tall and 18' wide; it is perfect as a focal point. S-PSh/M
Breathtaking new introduction. Striking leaf color like you've never seen before. We will continue to evaluate this one in our display garden.
New growth is salmon pink, matures to rose and creamy- mocha. Fall color muted gold-orange. Zones 6-9.
With salmon pink new growth, this is the only A. mac I would plant in a garden as it will get only 1/2 the size of the species Zone 6.
New spring leaves emerge in warm shades of peach-pink, becoming mocha-rose to dusky-purple, and then bronze-green in summer--pleasantly subtle, complex color. Slower in growth than the species, ours is 15 ft tall in 7 years and constantly drawing appreciative comments.
