Nursery contributed plant descriptions

6-12” clumps of fuzzy ferny foliage emerge in spring and are topped by hairy red petaled bell shaped flowers over several weeks April and May. Blooms are replaced by seed heads that look like bright silver tufts of feather that sparkle in sunlight for many weeks. Long lived, easy to grow in well drained soil, sun to part shade. Drought tolerant, deer & rabbit resistant.
"Pasque" comes from Old French for Easter, its general bloom time. Wide open and not afraid to stand their ground, these large, soft red or pink flowers with a cluster of bright yellow stamens in the center top thick fuzzy stems. They're followed by fluffy ornamental seed heads that remain for a long time. Good soil drainage is ideal and best results occur in cool climates where plants are also more apt to tolerate drier conditions. It needs consistent moisture in hot summer climates and is best left undisturbed once established so that it can form a nice floriferous clump. 10" x 10". Minimum temperature: -20 °F
Pretty darn self-explanatory name, a nice red with a hint of purple to it, with all the usual virtues of ease of culture and beautiful seed heads. Zone 4 - Joseph
Native to large parts of Europe, this selection has deep velvety-red bells that face up as they mature. Produces silver-silky, fluffy seed heads. Easily grown in most garden soils.
These bright upfacing cups of red rising on 12" stems from a clump of ferny foliage help to make spring... spring! Sun/Med/GdDrain
