Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The x pubsecens primroses are, I think, the absolutely best plants for our climate. Unlike most primroses that demand to be cool and wet, these we grow in nearly full sun where they laugh at the heat and dry. Flowers are large, fragrant, and intricately colored in a range of tons that are reddish if rarely actually outright red. Which is not a bad thing & the warm tones these flowers take on are almost unique in the garden and very beautiful indeed. Best yet, the heavy flowering in the spring is often followed up by an encore performance in the fall. Zone 5
