A very easy to grow variety similar to 'Boothman' but with deep magenta-red, larger flowers. Grows in most well drained garden soils. Full sun is fine in higher elevation and/or cooler regions, otherwise needs a place without afternoon heat. For the front of borders, rock gardens and troughs.
This was a gift from Marion Jarvie, and has proven to be an excellent grower for us; it roots well from cuttings and does not seem prone to melt. ZONE 5
