Silene viscaria 'Feuer' is a broadleaf deciduous or semi-evergreen perennial with green foliage. In summer magenta and pink flowers emerge. Attracts hummingbirds. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and regular water. Does well in average and well-drained soil.
The longish narrow leaves form a tidy little almost grass-like tuft at the base of the plant. Come summer, it throws up nearly leafless stems to a foot or so tall that are topped with great masses of intensely pink flowers. Can take partial shade and still flower well. Prefers good drainage.
