Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Iris sibirica 'Snow Queen' has dazzling white flowers with the bases of the falls in golden yellow and is known to rebloom. The flowers are daintier and more elegant than other Siberian iris. Siberian irises are useful in that they bridge the gap between spring and summer flowering perennials while offering fine architectural foliage for the whole season.
Developed in Japan more than 100 years ago, Snow Queen has been a garden favorite for generations due to its vigor, good petal substance and well balanced proportions. The flowers are atypically large for Siberian iris; it's sometimes mistaken for a Japanese iris for this reason. Snow Queen provides strong vertical lines for the landscape in season and beyond. Sold as a group of three plants.

Native to Japan and Korea and similar to sibirica but shorter; leaves are reed-like, flowers intense blue and larger than those of sibirica. An attractive free blooming very garden worthy plant, I just can't figure out what the name refers to, this is a white selection ZONE 4
White is always useful and beautiful in the garden. These lovely white, yellow-bearded flowers with their fine-textured foliage are no exception!
