Iris prismatica 'Alba' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial bulb / corm / tuber with green foliage. In spring and summer white flowers emerge. Features grassy texture. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture - high water. Does well in well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.
Doesn't the name sound enchanting? The actual plants fall a little short of rainbow hues but form runnery mats with clusters of grass-like leaves bearing striking white flowers. Reminiscent of a Siberian Iris they have a reputation for being hard to transplant but we have had no problems. ZONE 4
