Iris crocea is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In spring and summer yellow flowers emerge. Grows well with sun and even moisture - low water. Does well in average soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.
Stems to 2 meters in cultivation, odd native distribution found only near cemeteries in the Kashmir valley at 1600- 2000M. Similar to a yellow orientalis with larger yellow flowers 12-18cm across!! A hell of a big spuria. ZONE 5
