Nursery contributed plant descriptions

One of the very coolest hostas I've ever seen. The foliage, admittedly, isn't anything special, just plain green regular old hosta, but the flowers are freakishly awesome. They are abundantly produced, lavender, but what makes them absolutely unique is that each bloom has a series of small, transparent windows set into them. At first glance, they look like little holes in the flower, but no, unlike anything I've seen in any other flower, they're not holes, but thin, see-through little panels in the tissue of the petals. The effect is cool and absolutely unique. I'm not sure what the function of the windows is... perhaps it gives bees a seductive glimpse of the sex organ have concealed under those petals? Or perhaps bees and such spend their time banging their heads against the transparent panels the way flies do against the windows of my house, and in the process, spread pollen around? Whatever the reason, it is cool as hell and you need one. Joseph
