A LONG (all summer!) season of extra-bright, extra-large double flowers of scarlet make this early and prolific 18-24" bloomer a standout. S/M
Semi-double red flowers long blooming
Geum chiloensis 'Blazing Sunset' I'm never sure why geums aren't more popular... they're absolutely gorgeous, tough, and trouble free provided reasonable drainage and plenty of sun. This one reaches 2 feet or so, with profuse, double flowers of an intense scarlet red. Not for the lovers of pastels or the dull, this thing is hot and loud and sexy. Zone 5
A clump forming perennial, with a rosette of softly hairy, pinnate leaves. In Spring and Summer, semi-double, bright scarlet, anemone-like flowers, are borne on tall branching stems. One of the few brightly coloured flowers for shade.Attractive foliage goes well with violets and primulas.Well drained soil.A lot tougher than you might think.

UNBELIEVABLY LONG BLOOMING! This is not the well-known ‘Mrs. Bradshaw.’ Yes, I have left ‘Mrs. Bradshaw’ & taken up with a much more thrilling provider! This is a single plant pictured on the right & as you can tell, it blooms like crazy late Spring thru Fall, even Winter in temperate climates (with dead-heading). Brightest red, 2.5” blooms look like ruffly roses & dance in the breeze on well-branched 2-3’ tall stems, above sturdy, lush green, compact mounds. If you have never tried Geums before, they’re one of the toughest, heat tolerant and longest lived perennials you’ll ever grow! Compost yearly and cut back in Winter. Semi-deciduous to deciduous in colder climates.
Prolific, early flowering double scarlet flw. Hardy Perrenial for sun.
