Nursery contributed plant descriptions

We don't really grow food plants, but this alpine strawberry is just too cute and delicious to pass up. Significantly smaller in all its parts than the standard strawberries, makes an attractive mound of foliage and bears small, intensely sweet, flavorful and fragrant berries continuously all summer. Non-runnering, so it won't try and take over the whole garden, and the fruits are yellow when ripe which handily confuses birds enough that they won't eat them. A wonderful little edible/ornamental plant. Best fruiting in full sun, but can take a bit shade. Zone 4
