Digitalis thapsi is a species similar to Digitalis purpurea in appearance but more compact and perennial with a basal rosette of ovate-lanceolate, downy leaves. 'Spanish Peaks' is a reliably perennial selection noted for its lovely raspberry-rose flowers that glow in the sunlight.
