Delosperma aberdeenense is an evergreen groundcover cactus / succulent with green foliage. In spring and summer magenta flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Does well in average, gritty, lean and well-drained soil.

Flat mat of succulent leaves, large, profuse magenta flowers. Conflicting reports on hardiness, some calling it one of the hardier species, others listing it as only zone 8. Misidentification is rampant in this genus, so that is probably part of it.
