Delosperma aberdeenense is an evergreen groundcover cactus / succulent with green foliage. In spring and summer magenta flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Does well in average, gritty, lean and well-drained soil.

Flat mat of succulent leaves, large, profuse magenta flowers. Conflicting reports on hardiness, some calling it one of the hardier species, others listing it as only zone 8.
