Nursery contributed plant descriptions

There are many clematis vines, and a number of other non-vining herbaceous perennial species, but this one actually forms a small woody shrub, perhaps 3 feet high and wide covered with masses of fragrant, white six petaled flowers in spring that give way to the usual gorgeous silverly fuzzy clematis seed heads later in the year. Extremely tough and drought tolerant, deserves to be planted everywhere. Zone 5.
