Berberis sibirica is a broadleaf deciduous shrub with green foliage. In spring yellow flowers emerge followed by red fruit. Grows well with sun and occasional water. Does well in clay, rocky and well-drained soil.
Holubec's wild collections of this seldom-available deciduous species, which superficially resembles B. aetnensis with nodding 12mm light yellow solitary flowers, these should be unkillably hardy.
