Last time this flowered, Brigitta and I were looking at it, and wondering why it was called odoratum... we sniffed the flowers, agreed they were very beautiful, but we didn't catch a wiff of the scent. But a few hours later, in the late afternoon, suddenly the whole section where they are growing was filled with a strong, wonderful, lemon-vanilla scent. The scent traveled so far it took me a bit to track it down to its source, and yes, sure enough, it was the Arisaema odoratum. So, not too fragrant during the day, but come late afternoon or evening, absolutely spectacular. The bright white flowers are extremely beautiful all the time. Extremely rare in cultivation. Uncertain on hardiness.
