Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Dense clusters of buttery-yellow flowers bloom in late summer along stems that can reach 3' tall. It prefers cool soil with some summer water. From European mountainous regions. 2 – 3'T x 18" W
A yellow flowered monkshood native to wide swaths of Europe and Asia. Interestingly (if you are a total nerd like me anyway), the name anthora comes from a belief that it could be used as an antidote to poisoning by Aconitum pardalianches, which goes about under the common name of thora. I wouldn't advise testing this, as both species are insanely toxic and eating this under any circumstances would simply make you die faster. Well worth growing for the tall spikes of yellow flowers in late summer, and the highly toxic nature means this, and the rest of the genus, is pretty much immune to damage by deer or rabbits. Zone 4
