Like the rest of this genus, dense mounds made up of rosettes of viciously spiny leaves. This species has some of the largest, bluest rosettes. Very striking, even more so when topped with spikes of delicate pink flowers that contrast perfectly with both the form and color of the foliage. Tough and easy with good drainage. Zone 5
