Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A groundcovering phlox forming masses of large, deep pink flowers with deep green, narrow leaved foliage. A beautifully vibrant groundcover that will bring excitement to the shady or woodland garden. Floriferous and highly fragrant. Best in moist to average conditions but tolerant of dry shade. Selected by the Perennial Plant Association as Perennial Plant of the Year 1990.
For some reason when I see that cultivar name I always think it is 'Home Fries' instead. Which would be an excellent name for a plant. It would sell well to hungry people like me. But, in actuality, this is named after a disaster that can hopefully be mitigated by a good smoke detector and a call to your local fire department. Which makes no sense. So let's ignore the name and talk about the plant. Low spreading foliage sends up 8 inch stems of bright pink flowers. Happy in general woodland garden conditions. Zone 4
A beautiful groundcover phlox for the shade. Flat mounds of broad green foliage are covered in spring with vibrant pink flowers. Beautiful amongst ferns and coral bells.
