Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Persian ironwood is a somewhat slow growing relative of the witch-hazels originating in northern Iran. 'Lamplighter' has medium green foliage irregularly - edged with white. Stunning fall color is burgundy to pink. This fairly rare variety makes a great addition to partially shady gardens with well drained soils. Once established, it tends to be a fairly tough tree.
