Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Bee friendly October blooming shrubby perennial, with handsome gold and green variegated foliage all summer. Tolerates dappled shade and grows 3' x 3' quite quickly. Creamy white spires are late season gift to pollinators.
This variegated form of this Japanese woodland perennial lights up the woodland garden all season long and is then topped with spikes of soft yellow flowers in fall. Said to be one of the prettiest foliage plants for brightening the shade garden. Light shade or morning sun.
This Japanese woodland mint is similar in texture to 'Gold Angel', but with green leaves randomly streaked and blotched with creamy variegation. A great addition to the shade garden to give some background structure, this has a shrubby habit but dies to the ground every year. Great with green or blue hostas and ferns.
This is a little goody we got from Diana Reeck at Collector's Nursery and are happy to share our good fortune. This herbaceous perennial from Japan is valued for not only its mid to late fall flower spikes of soft yellow (or are they pink - where has my mind gone?) but for the variegated foliage. Rare.
