Salvia brandegei is a broadleaf evergreen perennial shrub with green foliage. In spring blue flowers emerge. Attracts bees, beneficial insects, birds, butterflies and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in average, clay, gritty and well-drained soil.

Brandeegee's sage is an evergreen shrub that grows to 3 feet tall. Brandegee's sage likes full sun, dry conditions and will grow in sandy or clay soil. It is a rare plant that is native to the canyons of Santa Rosa Island. This beautiful sage with shimmering, blue flowers. Flowers April - May. Like all sages Brandegee's sage is very fragrant. It grows beautifully in a California-style garden with Penstemons Artemisias and monkeyflowers. Native to California and to Baja California. It is included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants on list 1B.2 Great pollinator and wildlife plant. No Historical Uses found. Found in coastal scrub, canyons, and hills. Communitites located in Chaparral, Coastal Sage Scrub, Closed-cone Pine Forest Between 0 and 500 feet.
