The Delta Tule Pea is a native perennial vine found mostly in the Delta region of the Central Valley, and in salt marshes and on tidal river banks of the San Francisco Bay Region. It is a climbing plant which generally grows up through and spreads over the top of other vegetation. Large pink to pink to purple flowers in the spring. Endemic to California. It is included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants on list 1B.2 (rare, threatened, or endangered in CA and elsewhere). 7th Edition / 8th Edition No Historical Uses found. Found in streambanks, freshwater-marsh, river bank or at the edge of the marsh. Communitites located in Freshwater Wetlands, Yellow Pine Forest, Foothill Woodland, Chaparral, Valley Grassland, many plant communities, wetland-riparian Between 0 and 5000 feet.
