Good in masses as background for other wildflowers. Attracts the lovely and endangered Checker-spot butterfly. Endemic to California Yellow rayed goldfields is one of the primary nectar foodsources for the endangered Checkerspot butterfly. No Historical Uses found. Found in coastal, salt-marsh. Communitites located in Valley Grassland, Alkali Sink, Northern Oak Woodland, Coastal Salt Marsh, Wetland-riparian Between 0 and 4500 feet.
