Eriogonum nudum is a broadleaf semi-evergreen perennial with green foliage. In summer cream and pink flowers emerge. Attracts bees, birds and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Does well in average, clay, gritty, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant.

This small, flowering, perennial shrub grows 6"-1' high with cotton ball-like flowers on taller, naked stalks in late spring/early summer. An excellent choice for rock gardens. The basal rosette of flat green leaves gives rise to tall leafless stems topped with rounded clusters of white or pale pink or yellow flowers. Plant needs excellent drainage, is drought and heat tolerant, and full or nearly full sun (even tolerates summer afternoon sun). Host for Metalmark butterfly. Native to California and is also found outside of California, but is confined to western North America. An excellent habitat asset this plant brings the bees & other local insects. Hollow stems used for drinking straws and pipes. Found in usually grows in exposed, sunny, warm sites on dry hills, valley flats and mountain slopes. Communitites located in Coastal Strand, Southern Oak Woodland, Yellow Pine Forest, Foothill Woodland, Chaparral, Valley Grassland, Joshua Tree Woodland, Pinyon-Juniper Woodland Between 0 and 12467 feet.
