The Niagara Falls of trailers, 'Silver Falls' has velvety soft heart-shaped leaves, lustrous as mercury glass. A fast grower, perfect as ground cover or flowing from containers. It loves heat, requires no maintenance and looks fantastic with almost everything!
Silver foliage, all year.
Masses of small fan shaped variegated silvery grey leaves. Very vigorous, heat, and drought tolerant. Great for accents in container plantings, hanging baskets, or ground covers in southern locations. The silver stems cascade and fall up to 6'. Likes sun to part sun. Hardy zone 9-11
A shimmering silvery plant, with scalloped leaves on trailing stems, an excellent foliage alternative to Helichrysum (licorice plant)in containers. This has been incorrectly listed as Dichondra argentea, but we have found that this in fact is a different plant.
Such pretty silver foliage! This is one of those plants you can think of a million things to do with. Fantastic in a container (especially hanging ones that can accommodate the 6’ long stems) & also great as a silvery groundcover that will add light & shimmer to the garden bed. And there’s hardly a plant that wouldn’t look beautiful paired with it. Growing 6-12” tall & up to 6’ wide, it may be slow to start but once it gets settled will take off. Roots along at the stem, likes well-drained soil & can tolerate heat & drought. Native to West Texas through Arizona. If outside of its hardiness range, it makes a great annual.
