Neat as a pin fall blooming mistflower— a butterfly's best friend! The soft fuzzy flowers bloom early to late fall atop compact healthy foliage. Taking the place of fading summer perennials they combine satisfyingly with rosy to peach chrysanthemums, goldenrods and more. Also known as Hardy Ageratum.
Mistflower (Eupatorium coelestinum) is an eastern U.S. native. Covered with blue-violet flowers from late summer until frost, it is low growing, creeps rapidly by rhizomes and makes a fine groundcover for shade. Also grows luxuriantly in full sun when provided with adequate moisture. Also commonly called Hardy Ageratum or Wild Ageratum. Hardy to Zones 5 - 10.
