Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Very attractive, dark green, finely dissected foliage on a 6-12" plant. Attractive white flowers with blue stripes. Self seeds around gently. Full to part shade.
Outstanding, extremely rare, Japanese species with finely dissected foliage and good-size. Stem less, to 4" when in flower, which are fragrant, petals pale rose or purplish, about 1" long, spur about 3/16" long. CHOICE, needless to say. Woodland conditions. Self seeds politely. 20 blooming plants perfumes a 100' greenhouse when the sun is shining and the door is shut with an intoxicating lemony sweet smell. I wish there was some way to put a 'Scratch and Sniff' strip on the above photos. When the Viola dissecta var. chaerophylloides are in bloom in the greenhouse, a tray of them perfumes an entire 25 x 100' greenhouse. I love to be the first one to open the door in the morning -- the smell is intoxicating. Sort of sweet and lemony at the same time. And the rest of the year, the foliage just stops people who pass by it -- very finely cut, almost fernlike.
