Nursery contributed plant descriptions

These pale blue flower spikes are best massed and look especially good with Doronicum or other early golden yellow flowers. Good for cutting. Let it colonize for the best effect. Attractive gentian-like basal foliage. Native to the Caucasus.
One of the very best upright veronicas. The foliage, which indeed has a gentian-like look to it, forms a neat basal rosette, flowers are on spikes a couple feet tall, in shades of delightful, pale blue, over a very long period over the course of the summer, particularly if you deadhead. Vastly superior to the more common var spicata, not sure why it isn't more widely grown. Zone 5
