Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Large, long-lasting clusters of, 2"+ wide flowers open a dark purple, and like the Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow they quickly fade to lavender, and finally to nearly white. The flowers are born in profusion during the warmer months of the year. This moderately vigorous vine received rave reviews during 2012 trials at The Trial Gardens at UGA as per Allan Armitage and Meg Green, click here for more from UGA. The Paradise Vine climbs by twining and also uses a few sharp re-curved prickles beneath its large rich green foliage and along the large stems to help it gain a foothold on nearby objects so use caution when handling. It can be grown as a container plant and overwintered indoors or in the ground in 8B and warmer.
